FAQs
With a long history of developing townhomes in our other market areas, each year we notice an increase in customer interest in this niche-type residence. It used to be that most purchases were intended for either retirement or for part time/vacation uses, but today we’re seeing purchases across a much broader range of buyer types. Yes, the available property space is typically a smaller area than most suburban-type single family homes, but there are clearly more of us interested in the concept and for a much wider variety of reasons. We’re now seeing retired couples buying next to young professionals. Busy empty-nesters, next door to a single parent, next door to a work-from-home consultant. If there’s a common thread in their purchase decisions it is likely to be the “low maintenance” aspect of our townhomes. All will include lawn/grounds maintenance and some will include exterior structure maintenance as well. Whether we’re unable, uninterested, or just currently too busy for yard work, it seems that there are simply more and more of us interested in this type of lifestyle. And of course it’s exciting for us to participate in the evolution, to design and build the residences, and to have the sales activity.
